令和6年能登半島地震・豪雨の被災地支援のために、石川県の能登カントリークラブで男子プロゴルフツアーの新規大会「リシャール・ミル チャリティトーナメント2025」が開催された。リシャールミルジャパンからの依頼で優勝者に贈られるトロフィーを特別に製作した。
アルミニウム金属板に研磨加工を何度も行うことで独特な光沢を得たのちに、アルマイト処理（陽極酸化処理）で生成した多孔質皮膜に、金属塩を含む電解液中で電気分解を行い、皮膜の孔の中に金属や金属化合物を析出させて着色する、いわゆる電解着色を施し、対候性を高めた。
隣り合う金属片を互いに緊結させ、最終的に全てが支え合うことで作品は構造的に自立している。金属片を人ひとりに見立て、人々が繋がり支え合いコミュニティを創出していく、復興プロセスへの希望も込めてデザインした。
最終的に完成したトロフィーは、少量生産で丹念に製作されるテクノロジーの驚異ともいえるリシャール・ミルのタイムピースと親和性を持ち、工芸の精神性や、ものづくりの心を讃えるものとなった。
To support the areas affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake and heavy rains, the "Richard Mille Charity Tournament 2025," a new men's professional golf tour tournament, was held at Noto Country Club in Ishikawa Prefecture. A special trophy was created at the request of Richard Mille Japan to be presented to the winner.
After repeatedly polishing the aluminum metal plate to achieve a unique luster, the porous film created by anodizing (anodic oxidation) was electrolyzed in an electrolyte containing metal salts, causing metals and metal compounds to precipitate within the pores of the film, resulting in electrolytic coloring, which enhances weather resistance.
Adjacent metal pieces are tightly bound together, ultimately supporting each other, making the work structurally self-sustaining. Each metal piece represents a person, and the design also conveys hope for the recovery process, where people connect and support each other to create a community.
The final trophy is a fitting tribute to the spirit of craftsmanship and the heart of making things, in keeping with Richard Mille's timepieces, which are technological marvels painstakingly crafted in small batches.
