私たちは、自らエネルギーを生成することができない為、古来より生命から様々なエネルギーを享受してきました。
春には可憐な花々が咲き、秋には紅葉が心を和ませてくれます。また、四季折々の果実が実り、私たちを幸せな気持ちにさせてくれます。作物を育む大地は未来への生きる力を与えてくれます。
「EARTHEN」は直訳すると「土」「土からできた」という意味です。「EARTH」＝「地球」は母なる大地（土）から成り立っています。
また、地球儀を俯瞰する視点は、「サスティナブル」や「グローバル」、「SDGs」といった概念も連想させます。
大地の感謝や恵みから生まれた芸術こそが「陶芸」です。
陶芸と建築。
親和性がありながらも今まで交わることがなかった2つの芸術と工学を等価に考えてみます。従来の概念を超えた新しい建築、デザインのイメージを創出します。
We, as humans, cannot generate energy on our own. Since ancient times, we have been nourished by the vital energy bestowed upon us by life itself.
In spring, delicate flowers bloom, and in autumn, vibrant foliage soothes the soul. The fruits of each season ripen, filling us with joy. The fertile earth, nurturing crops, grants us the strength to embrace the future.
“EARTHEN” translates to “of the earth” or “made from soil.” The “EARTH” — our planet — is rooted in the nurturing essence of the soil, the mother of all life.
This perspective, viewing the globe from above, evokes concepts like “sustainability,” “global unity,” and “SDGs.”
Ceramic art, born from gratitude for the earth’s blessings, is a true expression of this artistry.

Though inherently compatible, these two realms of art and engineering have rarely converged. EARTHEN reimagines them as equals, transcending conventional boundaries to create innovative architectural and design visions.

人の手で形成されていく表面の様、変わり続けていく地下の様をロゴアイコンで表現しています。地を思い、生み出すものの余白を残した（想像と創造）ロゴを作成しました。

Reflecting this brand ethos, our logo icon embodies the texture shaped by human hands and the ever-changing depths beneath the surface. We have created a logo that honors the earth while leaving space for imagination and creation, evoking the potential of what is yet to be formed.

360年以上続く茶陶の名窯「大樋焼」、十一代大樋長左衛門の長男として金沢市に生まれる。石川県立金沢泉丘高校卒業後、東京藝術大学で建築、多治見市陶磁器意匠研究所で陶芸を学び、東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科建築専攻を首席卒業後に建築家 北川原温のもとで学んだのちに独立。2021年「EARTHEN」設立。陶芸家として個展やグループ展、海外アートフェアに出品しながら、建築家として建築設計や会場構成、プロダクトデザイン等、活動の幅は多岐に渡る。建築と陶芸の融合をフィロソフィーとして、意図的な建築に無意識の偶然性を、無意識の陶芸に設計の作為性を、双方の要素を逆流させることによって、本質的な融合を目指している。建築と陶芸の融合を目指した代表作 <Bone Flower>は金沢21世紀美術館、大林コレクション等に永久収蔵されている。<Node Kanazawa>で第33回AACA賞芦原義信新人賞を史上最年少受賞。土をモチーフに建築設計と陶芸創作のプロセスを同期させることによって新しい建築イメージの創出を目指している。
Born in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture in 1989. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2013 with a degree in architecture, and graduated from the Tajimi City Institute of Ceramic Design in 2016. Graduated first in his class from the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, 2017 and since 2021 has been CEO of the architectural design studio EARTHEN. While exhibiting his work as a ceramic artist in solo and group exhibitions and at overseas art fairs, he also works as an architect in a wide range of fields, including architectural design, venue composition, and product design. His philosophy is the fusion of architecture and ceramics. He aims to achieve an essential fusion of the two by reversing the elements of both, by combining the intentionality of architecture with the uncon scious coincidence, and the unconsciousness of ceramics with the artifice of design. 富⼭県⾼岡市⽣まれ。富⼭県⽴⾼岡⼯芸⾼校卒業、⾦沢⼯業⼤学環境・建築学部建築デザイン学科卒業後、⼤和ハウス⼯業(株)にて6年間、主に集合住宅物件を⼿掛ける。第5回北信越地⽅新⼈合同設計展最優秀賞受賞。⼆級建築⼠。
石川県羽咋郡宝達志水町（旧押水町）生まれ。石川県立羽咋高校卒業、日本大学生産工学部建築工学科卒業。総合建設業共立建設(株)にてマンション、半導体工場などの施工管理に7年間従事。その後、石川県庁土木部で建築技師として公共施設の設計監理、建築基準法・都市計画法などの規制行政に21年間奉職。一級建築士。一級建築施工管理技士。
